Shoppable Tags, the latest feature / trend from Instagram, for shoppers / online shopping with Instagram and stores. The new feature brings tags which are planned to pop up in Stories. Instagram has been testing the Shoppable Tags feature since 2016. Since then it’s been a hit, expanding broadly to regular brand posts in the feed.
Starting today, hitting a little shopping bag sticker in a Story will lead you to more details on the cute and/or dope thing that caught your eye and how to but it, cost and some details. This might be a simple addition, but given Stories' success and popularity, the Shoppable Tags will become a major advantage for brands that drive sales, and showcase products on Instagram.
With 300M using Instagram Stories everyday, people are increasingly finding new products from brands they love.

Shoppable Tags usability
- You can tag products in both new and existing posts from your Instagram business profile.
- You can tag up to 5 products per single-image post or 20 products per multi-image post.
- You can edit or delete products you've tagged in single image posts on Instagram.
- For multi-image posts, keep in mind that you can't edit or delete tagged products once your post has been published.\
As per the official announcement on Intagram's website, this feature is currently available to approved businesses in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Sweden, Netherlands, Argentina, Mexico, New Zealand, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Ireland, South Africa, Belgium, Austria, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, Malta, Ecuador, Panama, Portugal, Poland, Greece, Cyprus, Denmark, Czech Republic, Romania, Norway, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Dominican Republic, Belize, Korea and Japan.
The Facebook-owned company, Instagram, is likely to launch the new in-app payment feature, to appeal to many businesses and retailers, enhancing digital marketing initiatives.
How to Setup Instagram Shopping on Android?
It's easy to enable Instagram shoppable tags feature Instagram ap for Android:
1. Go to your profile and tap
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Business.
4. Tap Shopping. Note: The option to tap Shopping is only available to accounts that have been approved for Instagram Shopping.
5. Tap Continue
6. Select a product catalog to connect to your professional account.
7. Tap Done.
