We all love software updates! Be it Chrome or otherwise. But not all updates or little tweaks improve the software or user experience.
Recently, Chrome updates tweaked the "where to save downloaded files", which was turned on by default, to be turned off now by default.
So if you're annoyed by this update, here's how to get it to turn it back on again and take control over where the downloaded files should be saved.
How to Fix Chrome Ask Where to Download
Step one: Open the Chrome Settings
Shortcut : Alt+F or Alt+E

Step two: Click Downloads, and toggle Ask where to save each file before downloading : ON

And done..
This probably works for all Chromium-based browsers, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, and Comodo Dragon, etc.
