What FlexClip is

FlexClip is a video maker online that promises an experience about uncomplicated editing of professional and personal projects. Directly from the browser, it offers many features and tools that will help the user before, during, and after the editing process. We tested the service and told you if FlexClip Video Maker worth a try.

General tools

It is worth highlighting the “pre-editing” tools that the service offers free of charge for starters. Highlights include Compress, Convert (to format, audio, and GIF), Rotate, Split, Compress, and more.

For those who need a helping hand with content, FlexClip gives you unlimited access to over 1 million royalty-free songs and a huge library of free videos and photos. It also has more than a thousand “ready-made” video templates to save time creating institutional, educational, or personal content.

Online video maker in practice

Overall, FlexClip delivers what it promises: a convenient video editing service. To get started, you can choose to build from templates or start a project from scratch. In both options, at first glance, it offers a very intuitive experience - even for those who are not familiar with this universe.

In Start from Zero mode, the first step is to choose the size and orientation of the video. Available options are 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 21:9, and they all come with a visual description and an indication for which platform (such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok) is most recommended.

Still in this dynamic, you also have four work alternatives: use content from FlexClip's multimedia bank, upload your own videos or record your screen or webcam in real-time. With content in the library, the next step is to choose whether you're going to use it in its entirety or make cuts. This second process is fundamental and involves reducing and dragging a ”ruler” to delimit the section added to the project.

With everything on the timeline, the online video maker has several features to make the project more complete and professional. There is the possibility of adding basic and dynamic text, overlays (text, decoration, and logo), and a plethora of what they call Elements - which, in short, are stickers.

With the video underway, it's time to use the tools that will help put the final touch to the project. You can, for example, turn the volume down or completely mute the video. With that done, you can add a song from your computer or from the FlexClip library, selecting when it should start and end.

In just a few clicks, you can also speed up or slow down scenes. You can also add a series of filters and adjust elements such as Exposure, Contrast, Brightness, and Temperature. Finally, to close, customize or upload your watermark. Then, with everything ready, export the video and publish it wherever you want.

Free or paid plan?

With the premise of being easy and accessible, FlexClip has a free plan for unlimited use that gives access to all the resources and tools mentioned above (except for the watermark). However, it has some restrictions, including 480p transfers, videos of up to 1 minute, and stores a maximum of 12 projects.

The paid model is divided into three plans: Basic (720p HD transfers and videos of up to 3 minutes), Plus (Full HD 1080p transfers and videos of up to 10 minutes), and Business (Full HD 1080p transfers and videos of up to 10 minutes) 30 minutes). Prices vary from $5.99 to $19.99 per month.
