Google Chrome released update version 81 with a cool new feature. That has been requested for ages. Chrome Group Tabs!

Although Google got Chrome users in doubt and questioning should they seek alternatives. Since the recent controversial changes, security problems, data concerns, and rivals offering greater privacy. But it seems like the new Group Tabs feature is here for the rescue.

Chrome's recent update (version 81) - click here -

Chrome Tab Groups is an improvement in the way we organize the mass of tabs open in Chrome. Now you can organize your tabs by groups. And it's very simple to use:

Step One

Right click/double-tap on any tab

Step Two

Select ‘Add to new group’

Step Three

Drag associated tabs into that group

After the Group tab has been setup. You've a set of customization options.

Such as: colors, group name, open group tabs, ungroup tabs, etc..

Notably, you no longer need to keep separate browser windows open. Each for a different project. Now they can all coexist in a single window. As a group. As each project is clearly defined.

I cannot see the Group Tabs option in Chrome. How do I enable it?

As Chrome 81 is rolling out for right now. Chrome Tab Groups aren't visible to you yet. You can manually enable them by Type in the address bar: chrome://flags/#tab-groups

Update your Chrome browser to the latest version. And enjoy the new Group Tabs feature.
